7.2.1 Comms Check and Alarm Levels
LEVEL
ICON MEANING
COMMS
(SENSOR/CONTROL UNIT)
Green triangle. Communication with sensor has been established,
no issues.
Communication with sensor has failed.
Refer to Troubleshooting on page 31 for more information and
solutions.
DUST LEVEL ALARMS
No bell. Dust level readings are within the limits set.
Early Warning Level
Yellow bell. Dust level reading is ABOVE level 2 (early warning
alarm).
High Alarm (Limit)
Red bell. Dust level reading is at or ABOVE level 1 (limit alarm).

Over-range Alarm
Dust level readings are off the scale. Dust levels have reached
maximum value!
Scale is entirely RED or YELLOW (depending on alarm set) and a
small, flashing arrow > at the right end of the Scale indicates that
the alarm is outside the measured range (see Figure 8).
AUDIBLE ALARM
Alarm-status Signal
The audible alarm stops when the instrument returns to normal
operation.
