IMPORTANT USER INFORMATION
The hearing protector should be fitted, adjusted, cleaned and maintained according to the instructions
in this folder.
• The hearing protector should be worn 100% of the time in noisy environments so as to offer full
protective effect.
• Clean the outside of the hearing protector regularly with soap and lukewarm water.
Do not immerse in water.
• Do not store the hearing protector in temperatures above +55°C, for example behind a windscreen
or window.
• This product may be impaired by certain chemical substances. More detailed information on this
subject can be obtained from the manufacturer.
• The hearing protector and, in particular, the ear cushions, may be damaged over a period of time
and should be checked regularly to see if there are any cracks or noise leakage.
• The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the earmuffs
NOTE
that if these recommendations are not followed, both attenuation and function may be impaired.

ATTENUATION DATA
Attenuation data for Peltor Hearing Protectors tested and approved in strict accordance with European
Standard EN 352-1:1993.
1. Weight. 2. Frequency (Hz). 3. Mean rating, attenuation (dB). 4. Standard deviation (dB)
* Examination certificate issued by INSPEC Certification Ltd, Aylesbury, HP22 5LQ England. ID#0194
** Examination certificate issued by FIOH, Laajaniityntie 1, FIN-01620 Vantaa, ID#0403.
(I) 100% wear time – The only assurance against hearing injury.
(I:1) Wear time 100%
Provides predicted protective effect.
(I:2) Wear time 99%
5 minutes carelessness per day reduces the protective effect dramatically.
(I:3) Wear time 90%
You can no longer be sure of effective protection levels.
• Daily exposure to environments containing noise levels of over 85 dB, A-weighed sound level, means
you must protect your hearing.
• It is the hair cells deep inside the ear that become damaged and do not heal. The injury becomes
permanent.
• A comfortable and acceptable hearing protector, suited to the noise level of the specific work place
provides the best motivation for 100% wear time, and consequently the best protection against per-
manent injury.
