• Rule No. 3: The chain must be sharpened.
A properly sharpened chain improves cutting perfor-
mance and reduces wear.
Refer to procedure Section 6.7, “Sharpening the chain”
• Rule No. 4: The depth limiters must be correctly
adjusted.
The depth limiters must be correctly adjusted and of
the right shape to ensure good performance and safe-
ty.
