Recommended Operating Procedures

1.  Install a male 1/4” NPT pipe thread nipple of

your choice in the handle base. Teflon tape is

recommended to prevent air leaks. Do not over

tighten, or there is the possibility of stripping

the steel insert, or the gun handle, which

constitutes abuse, and is not covered by the

warranty.(No more than 27 N.m torque is

recommended.)

2.  Make sure the air line is disconnected. Open

the lid and fill the sand container with sand.(it

is highly recommended that the sand used is

specifically made for Spot blasting purposes)

and replace the lid securely.

3.  Put on eye protection, face shield, gloves,

respirator mask, and a rubber coat... Now

you’re ready to sandblast!

4.  Set air pressure at the regulator to no more

than 8 BAR .Make sure the air delivered is

clean and especially dry. No spot blaster will

work effectively with moisture laden air, UNIT

WILL NOT WORK CORRECTLY OVER 8 BAR.

5.  Open the sand flow valve to the desired posi

-

tion. Place ceramic nozzles at a comfortable

distance from part to be spot blasted,

approximately 15 to 60 cm is recommended.

The distance from the part to be blasted will

determine the pattern.

6.  It has 4 different types of hot spots, which

conform to any surface, Including spark plug

cleaning

Troubleshooting

1.  Spot Flow Stops:

•

Air delivered may contain moisture. Make sure

a proper water separator is installed

•

Check air pressure (Minimum 4 BAR required)

•

Remove the front clip on the reservoir, lift and

swing the reservoir slightly and check the

orifice in the material control valve. If

obstructed, remove debris and reassemble.

•

Make sure the nozzle is fully tightened (Hand

Tighten Only). Make sure there are no particles

between the steel insert directly behind the

nozzle and the body of the gun. If necessary

remove the steel insert and blow out the

carburettor to remove any sand or debris that

may be lodged in this area. (Make sure to wear

safety goggles.)

•

Remove nozzles to see if the steel insert is lost

or missing. HAND HELD SPOT BLASTER WILL

NOT WORK WITHOUT THE STEEL INSERT IN

PLACE.

2.  Sand Pattern Erratic:

•

Air delivered may contain moisture. Make sure

a proper water separator is installed.

•

Sand blast media have inconsistent particle

sizes and must be strained. Use a small pattern

screen with maximum 1/16”openings.

•

Nozzle is worn and must be replaced

•

STEEL INSERT IS WORN OR LOST
