Protective Features
Low-Voltage Shutoff (Red LED will light) – The Inverter will automatically shut down in case of low
voltage (prevents the battery from total discharge). The Inverter will automatically reset itself and start
back up if the voltage increases.
Overload Protection (Red LED will light) – The Inverter will automatically shut down if the
continuous current draw exceeds the maximum rating. The Inverter will automatically reset itself and
start back up if the current draw decreases below the maximum rating.
To manually reset the Inverter:
Turn off the device and unplug it from the Inverter.

Turn the ON/OFF switch on the Inverter to the OFF (O) position.

) position. The red LED light should not be lit.
Verify the wattage of the device(s) before plugging back into the Inverter.

High-Temperature Safety Shutoff (Red LED will light) - If the unit’s temperature exceeds 149°F
(65°C), it will switch off automatically and the red LED fault light will come on. After unplugging the
Inverter and letting it cool down for about 15 minutes, the Inverter can be used again.
Common Problems
Buzzing in audio systems - Some inexpensive stereo systems will emit a buzzing sound from their
speakers when operating from the Inverter. This is because the power supply in the device does not
adequately fi lter the modifi ed sine wave produced by the Inverter.
Television interference - The Inverter is shielded and fi ltered to minimize interference with TV
signals. In some cases, especially with weak TV signals, some interference may be visible. Try the
following corrective measures:
Position the Inverter as far away as possible from the television, the antenna and the antenna

cable.
Adjust the orientation of the Inverter, the antenna cable and the TV power cable to minimize
•
interference.
Use high-quality, shielded antenna cable.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Storage
Store and use this Power Inverter in a cool, dry area and keep it away from direct sunlight, heat,
excessive humidity and dampness.
Cleaning
Do not clean or wipe the Power Inverter with solvents or chemical materials. If necessary, remove dirt
or stains using a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution.
Fuse Replacement
Turn off the Inverter and disconnect any devices from the Inverter.

Unplug the Inverter from the power source.

Pull the fuse straight out of the holder.

Replace with a new 15-amp spade-type fuse.
