Class of Service
All mailboxes have a default Class of Service (COS) of 1, allowing them to have
15 2-minute messages that can only be saved for 10 days. After 10 days the
messages must either be deleted, forwarded or resaved.
Service Class Index number
There are 4 different Classes of Service that can be used to define a group of
similar mailbox users, like Administrative, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, etc.
Save Period in Days
The number of days, which are programmable from 1 – 999, that a message can
be retained before it is scheduled to be deleted. No warning is given before the
message is deleted. All saved messages take up valuable memory, so it is
important to delete all messages as quickly as possible.
Length Of Msg in Minutes
This parameter controls the programmable record length, from 1 – 15 minutes, of
a message that may be left in a user’s Mailbox.
Number of Messages
This parameter controls the total number of messages that a Mailbox can store,
Valid options are 1 – 512 messages. Once the maximum number of messages
has been reached, the mailbox will play message indicating that it is full and can
no longer take new messages.
