4.2 Troubleshooting Table
Issue Possible Causes Fixes
Glass surfaces on camera head
are soiled Clean the glass surfaces (see
Cleaning chapter)
Light output set too dark Increase the light output at the
light source
Image too dark, too little illumina-
tion
White balance not set correctly Set the white balance as de-
scribed in the Use chapter.
No power supply Connect and switch on the de-
vices (see Use chapter)
Fuse defective Replace the fuse (see Mainte-
nance and Repairs chapter)
Monitor connected incorrectly to
the controller Connect monitor to the controller
correctly (see Use chapter)
Connection cable not connected
or defective Connect the camera head to the
controller. Check the plug for
moisture. If the cable is defec-
tive, send it in for repair
Monitor not tuned in to the cor-
rect input signal Set monitor for the correct input
signal
Ensure that the probe is connect-
ed correctly to the camera head No light on the probe tip
Increase the light intensity on the
controller
No image on the monitor
Unknown Contact manufacturer
Monitor not configured correctly Check monitor settings Poor color rendering
White balance not set correctly Set the white balance as de-
scribed in the Use chapter.
Colored lines through the image Defective video cable Replace the video cable or send
the product for repair
Image out of focus Adjust the focus for a sharp im-
age on the camera head Image blurred
Probe tip soiled Clean the probe tip as described
in the Cleaning chapter
