6. OPERATION
•
Carefully unravel the necessary length of power cord (12) before you connect it to the mains supply.
During use, always unravel the power cord to at least two
-
thirds of its length to avoid a tipping hazard.
ATTENTION: Never pull or carry the appliance by the power cord.
Switching the device ON/OFF:
•
Connect the power plug (12) to a suitable outlet (220
-240
Volts).
•
Adjust the switch of the floor brush (17) to the floor type
(
Floor brush).
•
Press the ON/OFF (8) button to turn on the appliance.
•
During operation, you can use the suction power slide (2) to adjust the suction power. The more you
open the slide (2), the lower the suction power.
•
In order to turn off the appliance, use the ON/OFF (8) button.
ATTENTION: Danger of injury. Unraveled
power cord may cause tipping hazard.
Please pull out the power cord plug from the outlet after each use.
Operation:
The vacuum cleaner is designed to perform as a wet/dry unit.
It is equipped by container for waste
collection, guiding wheels and castors which make the appliance very easy to maneuver. During wet
vacuuming the suction flow will be switched
off by a float switch when the water in the waste
container
reaches
the full limit.
Dry Vacuum Cleaning:
•
Make sure that the power plug is unplugged.
•
Remove the motor unit (13) by undoing the two hinges
(11)
and lifting off the head.
•
Insert the filter.
•
Reassemble the motor unit (13) on the appliance and lock the hinge (11).
•
Connect the flexible hose (
1
) to the vacuum hose connection (14)
–
see chapter 5, Assembly of the
appliance.
•
Attach
extension tubes (4) as required.
•
Attach the appropriate end nozzle (17, 18, 20, 21, 22).
•
Plug into the mains supply and press the ON/OFF button. The motor of the appliance starts; you can
start with vacuuming now.
•
Guide the chosen nozzle on the floor surface
to pick up debris and dust.
•
Switch off the appliance by pressing ON/OFF button and disconnect the power plug from the mains.
ATTENTION: Check that accessories are not blocked or damaged and are in good working order.
Damaged parts must be replaced. Blocked hoses or tubes with impair performance and may damage the
appliance.
Wet Vacuum Cleaning:
•
Make sure that the power plug is unplugged.
•
Remove the motor unit (13) by undoing the two hinges
(11)
and lifting off the head.
•
Make sure the dust/water container
(15) is clean and free from dust and dirt.
•
Insert the filter.
•
Reassemble the motor unit (13) on the appliance and lock the hinge (11).
•
Connect the flexible hose (1) to the vacuum hose connection (14)
–
see chapter 5, Assembly of the
appliance.
•
Attach extension tubes (4) as required.
•
Attach the appropriate end nozzle (17, 18, 20, 21, 22).
