PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
TO PREPARE THE FUEL MIXTURE, USE ONLY OIL FOR TWO-STROKE ENGINES AND
UNLEADED GASOLINE. YOU WILL THUS AVOID POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE FUEL LINES
AND OTHER ENGINE COMPONENTS.
NEVER MIX GASOLINE AND OIL DIRECTLY IN THE FUEL TANK.
IMPORTANT:
Failure to follow the instructions for proper fuel mixture preparation can result in
damage to the engine.
PRE-OPERATION CHECKS
1. Check the screws, nuts and fitting for looseness.
2. Check the air filter for fouling and if necessary clean it of all dirt before operation.
3. Check the protective guard for proper installation and position.
4. Check for any leaks.
5. Check and make sure the cutting blade does not move when the engine is running at idle
speed.
THROTTLE CONTROL
Press the throttle trigger lever lock and make sure it returns to its initial position when it is
released. Make sure the throttle trigger lever is blocked when the throttle trigger lever lock is
released.
Check the throttle lever and throttle lever lock for free movement and the return springs for
proper operation.
Follow the instructions in the chapter "STARTING AND STOPPING THE ENGINE". Do not start
the engine with a fully open throttle. Release the throttle lever and check if the cutting tool fully
stops. If it turns even if the throttle lever is in the idle speed position, it is necessary have the
carburettor settings checked - see the chapter "MAINTENANCE AND CARE".
