•
Set the adjustable depth stopper (7) so that the depth measuring stick (9) is brought down to the
lowest level.
•
Loosen the set screw (8) of the depth measuring stick.
•
Loosen the height adjuster (12) and press the mould cutting tool with the handle far under, so that it
touches the workpiece.
•
Secure this adjustment by tightening the height adjuster (12).
•
Make sure that the depth measuring stick (9) with the metal point (b1) is sitting on the depth
stopper (7).
•
Now the starting position can be read from the read-off point (a1) on the depth measuring scale.
•
The depth measuring stick (9) can be finely adjusted, so that the desired centimeter value is
displayed on the scale. Turn the fine adjuster (10) of the depth measuring stick in the desired
direction.
•
The desired drilling depth can simply be subtracted from the displayed centimeter value. (Example:
4 cm is displayed on the scale, and you want to drill 1,5 cm. So the scale should be adjusted to
display 2,5 cm.)
•
Lift the depth measuring stick up, so that the read-off point (a1) on the scale shows the
corresponding value (2,5 cm as per the example).
•
Now adjust the depth measuring stick (9) with the new calibration by tightening the set screw (8).
The desired drilling depth is now set.
•
Loosen the height adjuster (12) to get the mould cutter ready for operation.
Dust extraction
To remove sawdust, connect a suitable dust extraction machine (e.g. industrial vacuum cleaner) to the
vacuum nozzle (13). Make sure the vacuum cleaner is suitable for the worked material. The inside
diameter of the vacuum nozzle is 40 mm.
Parallel stopper assembly (Picture C)
•
Mount the parallel stopper (c2) with the screws and washers onto the guiding rods (c1).
•
Insert the guiding rods (c1) into the grooves (6) of the ground plate (5).
•
Set the desired distance between the parallel stopper and mould cutter.
•
Tighten the guiding rods (c1) with the set screws (4) to the ground plate (5) at the desired distance.
•
Before working, make sure the parallel stopper is properly fixed.
•
The setting can be verified by a test cut.
