Using your Hob

on of the electric plates
The electric plates can be standard or rapid type. The rapid type plates are dis
ti
nguished by a red mark at the centre. According
to your needs, the heat of the plates can be adjusted by turning the knobs either clockwise or an
ti
-clockwise, to any of the 6
positons besides “0” (OFF).

This hob has one rapid heat element that is of a higher w

age, thermosta
ti
cally controlled.

This element is designed speci

cally to rapidly heat food/liquid before transferring to other elements or for use with
cooking applica
ti
ons that require short term high heat.

Once the selected hea
ti
ng level is reached, the element will cycle to maintain the hea
ti
ng level.
o
For cooking applica
ti
ons that require prolonged cooking/boiling/simmering, please use the other elements.
To start cooking:
Place a suitable pan on the cooking zone you want to use.
Adjust the power se
tti
ng using the control knob of the corresponding cooking area to the desired hea
ti
ng level.
(1 indicates the lowest heat se
tti
ng and 6 is the highest heat se
tti
ng)
When you have
fi
nished cooking, turn the control knob to the "0" posi
ti
on to turn o
ff
the cooktop.
The posi
ti
ons marked by numbers correspond to the maximum output of heat.
The power indicator light shows that the electric plates are switched on.
Advice on the use of cooking tops
o
To save energy and to extend the life of the electric cooktop, we advise using pans with
fl
at bo
tt
om and with a diameter
not lesser than the diameter of the hea
ti
ng plates. Make sure the base of your pan is smooth and sits
fl
at against the
surface.
o
Always centre your pan on the cooking zone.
o
Always li
ft t
he pots o
ff
the electric cooktop to prevent scratching the surface.
o
Care must be taken that
fl
uids do not spill on the electric plates.
o
Never leave the elements on without pans on them or with empty pans, and never use the tops to heat the room.

ng element before removing the pans.

, the plates remain warm for a while.
