3. Plug the battery charger (18) into a
mains outlet.
4. When the battery is fully recharged un-
plug the battery charger (18) from the
mains.
5. Pull the battery (9)out of the battery
charger (18).
Overview of the LED indicators on
the charger (18):
Green LED (16) lights up
without battery inserted:
Charger ready.
Green LED (16) lights up:
Battery such alleged
charged.
Red LED (17) lights up:
Battery charging.
Used batteries
• If a fully recharged battery lasts for
considerably shorter operating times,
the battery is used up and needs to be
replaced. Only use an OEM battery
pack replacement available from our
Customer Service.
• Always take heed of the applicable
safety instructions as well as the envi-
ronmental protection regulations and
information (see “Cleaning and Main-
tenance”).
Checking the battery charge
level
The battery’s ( 9) charge level is indi-
cated by the charge state indicator ( 7).
The LEDs indicate the battery’s charge
level, when the device is in operation.
Push the on/off switch ( 5) forwards.
(Position “1”).
red-yellow-green => Battery fully charged
red and yellow => Battery half charged
red => Battery needs
to be charged
Assembly
Caution! Risk of injury!
- Ensure that you have sufficient
space in which to work, and that
you do not endanger other people.
Adjusting the guard
Before use, check that the guard (4) is se-
curely fastened. There is a risk of injury.
The device must only be op-
erated with the guard (4) in
place.
1. Loosen the adjusting screw (1).
2. Adjust the guard (4) to fit the thickness of
the material.
3. Re-tighten the adjusting screw (1).
Installing/changing the
cutting disc
Before initial operation,
check the tightness of the
clamping screw (12).
The cutting disc may become
hot during operation. It is
imperative that you allow
the cutting disc to cool before
changing.
