Cleaning/Maintenance
Pull the mains plug before any ad-
justments, maintenance or repair.
Repair and servicing work not
described in this manual should
always be carried by our Service
Centre. Use only original parts.
The following cleaning and servicing
should be done regularly. This will ensure
a long and reliable service life.
Cleaning
Do not spray the appliance
with water and do not im-
merse it in water. Electric
shock hazard!
• Keep clean the ventilation slots, motor
housing and handles of the appliance.
Use a damp cloth or a brush.
Do not use cleaning agents or solvents.
You may otherwise irreparably dam-
age the appliance.
• Clean the sanding sheet with a vacuum
cleaner or knock it out.
Cleaning the dust bag of
the dust collection box
Check the dust bag (15) occasionally for
dirt.
Removing the dust bag:
1. Pull off the dust box ( 7) (see “Con-
necting/removing the dust collection
box”).
2. Remove the dust bag (15) (see “Empty-
ing the dust bag”) and empty it.
3. Wash the dust bag (15) with lukewarm
water and soap and let it dry.
Replace a heavily soiled or damaged
dust bag (see “Spare parts/accesso-
ries”).

4. Replace the dust bag (15) (see “Empty-
ing the dust bag”).
5. Close the dust collection box ( 7).
Storage
• Store the device in a dry place well out
of reach of children.
• Empty the dust collection box before
storing the device (see “Connecting/
removing the dust collection box” +
“Emptying the dust bag”).
Waste Disposal/Envi­
ronmental Protection
Be environmentally friendly. Return the
tool, accessories and packaging to a recy-
cling centre when you have finished with
them.
Electric units do not belong with
domestic waste.
Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical
and electronic equipment: Consumers are
legally obliged to recycle electrical and
electronic equipment in an environmen-
tally sound manner at the end of its life.
In this way, environmentally friendly and
resource-saving recycling is ensured.
Depending on the implementation in na-
tional law, you may have the following
options:
• Return to a shop,
• Hand over to an official collection
point,
