Before use
Removing/charging/inserting the
battery pack
NOTE
► The battery is partially charged. Ideally,
charge the battery completely before use.
You can charge the lithium-ion battery at any
time without shortening its service life. Inter-
rupting the charging process does not dam-
age the battery.
► Never charge the battery pack if the ambient
temperature is below 10°C or above 40°C.
If a lithium-ion battery is to be stored for an
extended period, the charge level should be
checked regularly. The optimum charge level
is between 50% and 80%. The storage cli-
mate should be cool and dry and the ambi-
ent temperature should be between 0°C and
50°C.
CAUTION!
► Always disconnect the mains plug before
removing the battery pack

from or inserting
it into the charger.

out of the appliance.

3) Plug the mains plug into the mains power socket.
The red charge control LED

Checking the battery charge level
If the appliance is switched on, the status/remaining
charge will be shown on the battery LED

follows:
RED/ORANGE/GREEN = maximum charge
RED/ORANGE = medium charge
RED = low charge – charge the battery
Changing tools
Your cordless screwdriver has a fully automatic
spindle lock
.
When the motor is stopped, the power train locks
so that the quick-release chuck

can be opened
by turning it . After you have attached the de-
sired tool and tightened it by turning the chuck ,
you can continue working. The spindle lock is re-
leased automatically when the motor is started
(by pressing the ON/OFF switch

).
2-speed gearbox
CAUTION!
► Operate the speed selector switch

only
when the appliance is at a standstill. Other-
wise, the appliance could be damaged.
In first gear
(speed selector switch

in position 1),
you can reach a speed of approx. 460 rpm and a
high torque. This setting is suitable for all screwing
jobs.
In second gear
(speed selector switch

in position 2),
you can reach a speed of approx. 1750 rpm for
carrying out drilling work.
