♦ If necessary, use the reducer by pushing it
onto the dust extraction adapter .
♦ Switch the dust extractor on when making drill
holes.
♦ To detach the extractor, follow the above steps
in reverse order.
Operation
Select operating mode
Function selector:
♦ Turn the function selector switch so that the
required symbol engages:
Function Symbol
Drilling/screwing
Impact drilling
Select direction of rotation
WARNING!
► The rotation direction switch may only be
used/adjusted if the device is at a standstill.
♦ Select the direction of rotation by pressing the
rotation direction switch towards the left or
right.
2-speed gearbox
CAUTION!
► Operate the speed selection switch only
when the appliance is at a standstill. Other-
wise, the appliance can be damaged.
In first gear (speed selector switch in posi-
tion: 1)
This setting is suitable for all screwing work, work
using a large-diameter drill, and the use of acces-
sories.
In second gear (speed selector switch in
position: 2)
This setting is suitable for carrying out drilling work
with a small-diameter drill.
Preselecting the rotation speed
You can use the rotational speed preselector adjust-
ing wheel to preselect the rotational speed.
The speed you select depends on the material to
be processed. Work out the correct settings by
carrying out a test.
NOTE
► The appliance only reaches the set rotational
speed during continuous operation.
Switching on and off
Switching the appliance on:
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch .
Switching the device off:
♦ Release the ON/OFF switch .
Switching to continuous operation:
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch . Lock it in the
pressed position with the ON/OFF switch lock
button .
Switching off continuous operation:
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch and release it
again.
Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Switch the appliance off and remove
the power plug before starting any
work on the appliance.
■ Never permit liquids to penetrate inside the
appliance.
■ Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the housing. Never
use petrol, solvents or cleansers which can
damage plastic.
■ Always clean the appliance after completion
of work.
■ To clean the dust extractor , detach it (as
described above) and shake it out.
■ Store the appliance in a dry place.
