How to Obtain the Gateway’s IP Address
Method 1: Use the Text-based User Interface (TUI) and a
display with VGA connection
1. Plug VGA cable into display
2. Plug VGA cable into gateway
3. Boot gateway
4. URL will display within TUI on display (as shown in Image 2)
Method 2: Use network scanning functions
1. Confirm your computer is connected to the same
subnet as the gateway
Ask your local IT resource for assistance if needed
2. Identify gateway’s ETH0 MAC address
Located on white sticker on side of gateway
(as shown in Image 3)
3. Open Command Prompt on your computer
4. Identify the gateway’s location on the subnet
• Input
arp –a
• Press Enter
5. Identify the Internet Address associated with
gateway’s ETH0 MAC (Physical Address)
(as shown in Image 4)
How to Login to the Gateway
Recommended: A Chromium-based browser,
such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
1. Open a New Incognito Window / New Private Window
2. Enter the previously identified URL / Internet Address in
the Universal Resource Locator (URL) input field
(Example: 192.168.1.9)
3. Bypass the security warning (as shown in Image 5)
a. Click Advanced
b. Proceed to – [IP Address] (unsafe)
Example: Proceed to – 192.168.1.9 (unsafe)
4. Log in to Voice of the Machine Edge software
a. Input Username and Password into web browser
window (as shown in Image 6)
• Username and Password located on paper
included within gateway’s shipping box
b. Press Login
