7.3
Bonding Surfaces
When the filter housing is assembled and installed into the process pipework, electrical continuity (bonding) is
guaranteed by the mechanical connection of all the parts. Refer to Figure 8.
1 – The housing closure clamp achieves electrical continuity between the filter housing head and bowl.
2 – The inlet and outlet connection, clamped or bolted, achieves electrical continuity between the filter
housing and connecting pipework (provided the connecting pipe work is not coated / painted).
3 – Where support legs are provided, these provide an additional means to bond to the earthing system.
End user is responsible to ensure the filter housing is suitably grounded to their earthing system
