Installation
1
Mount roll grinder onto sub base/adaptor to bring
contact wheel up to correct center height of lathe

Position roll grinder on cross slide so that maximum
capacity is obtained, and rigidity is retained.

Bolt sub base to cross slide together with roll grinder
making sure that contact wheel center is inline with
lathe center

Mount electrical control cabinet clear of any moisture
and dust.

Use a qualified electrical contractor for electrical
installation.

Concentrically screened cable 3 active, and earth
should be used to supply motor from control box.
See notes in enclosed Drive booklet.

The pressure switch at the air filter/regulator unit
prevents operation of motor until belt is tensioned.
Pressure switch must be connected to control
cabinet terminal strip a shown in attached photo.

A lubricated air supply should be connected to the
pressure isolator at the air filter/regulator located
near tracking knob.

Ensure that air and electrical supply lines both power
and pressure switch have excess length to cover
extremes of movement in both traverse and
longitudinal directions.
10
Electrical cabinet is fully sealed if roll grinder drive
over temperature trips/fault “O-t” then cabinet should
be cooled/air conditioned.
