Tune < and > Keys
These keys have the same function as the Tune knob on the front panel.
Press the < key to go to the previous preset or station.
Press the > key to advance to the next preset or station.
Mode Key
The Mode key has the same function as the Mode button on the front panel. It selects the tuning
function of the Tune < and > keys.
We expect you will most often use the preset tune mode where PRESET is displayed.
Press the Mode key once and the < and > keys are for auto tuning seek down or up. The display
shows AUTO TUNE.
Press the Mode key again and the < and > keys are for manual tuning down or up. The display
shows MAN TUNE.
Press the Mode key a third time to restore the preset tuning mode.
The display shows PRESET.
Band Key
The Band key has the same function as the Band button on the front panel. It selects FM and
AM bands.
Mono Key
The Mono key has the same function as the Mono button on the front panel Press the Mono
key once to enforce mono output for stations which are broadcasting stereo signals. When you
press the Mono key to manually select mono output, the display will show MONO-E. E stands
for Enforced. Press the Mono key again to restore automatic stereo-mono operation.
Mem (Memory) Key
The Ztuner can store up to 30 station presets. The first preset number is 01 (1 with MAX 8) and
the last preset number is 30 (MAX 30).
To store a preset station into memory:
1. Tune to the station you want to store in memory.
2. Press the Mem key; MEMORY will appear in the front panel display and the empty space
next to the P will flash. These indicate that the memory bank is open and you may enter a
new station into memory.
3. Press numbered keys to select the desired preset number such as key 3 for Preset station
number 3, or press key 1 and then key 5 for Preset station number 15. After you have selected
the preset number, MEMORY is replaced by PRESET 30 (or 8) and the new preset number
replaces the flashing space.
Note
: After you press the Mem key you’ll have about 5 seconds to press the first numbered
key. If you don’t press any number keys in this time, no new preset station will be entered.
