HotWire Model 7915 standalone units are also ideal for delivering E1 services
from a central site to the customer premises over long loop distances without
repeaters.
Figure 1-2
shows a central office application with a HotWire 7900 Nest containing
HotWire Model 7915 nest cards. Each nest card terminates a single subscriber
line in the CO. Each line is then converted to a G.703 interface for connection to
other central office equipment, such as a digital cross-connect system (DCS).
