EPLACING THE STRAP
The Panerai Radiomir 1940 case features a spring bar system allowing the
strap to be replaced easily. Push on the hole visible at the side of the strap
attachment to remove the strap gently. To insert the new one, put the bar into
the strap attachment and push on the opposite side of the bar to insert it
correctly into the other strap attachment. Pay attention not to scratch the
bottom of the strap attachment during this operation. A small groove within
each strap attachment allows the operation to be carried out easily.
WARNING: the strap and the buckle must be replaced by an Authorized
Distributor or a Panerai Service Centre, in order to avoid any problems caused
by incorrect replacement. Spring bars must be replaced every time the strap
is changed.

HRONOGRAPH FUNCTIONS
The chronograph functions of your Panerai watch record the time taken, in
minutes and seconds, by an object moving from one point to another. The
single push-piece chronograph differs from others in being simpler to use,
since the start, stop and reset functions are controlled by a single push-piece.
The power reserve of the P.2004/10 movement corresponds to 192 hours -
chronograph off. The chronograph functions are not guaranteed over the last
two days of power reserve.
Start/stop/reset push-piece for the chronograph functions (H)
Pressing it once starts the timing indicated by the chronograph seconds hand
(I) and after 60 seconds by the hand of the minute counter (M) . When the same
push-piece (H) is pressed a second time, all the hands are stopped, while
pressing it a third time returns all the chronograph hands to zero: the minute
counter
(M) and the chronograph seconds hand (I) .
Minute counter (M)
Positioned at 3 o’clock, this subsidiary dial is the chronograph minute counter
with the jumping minute hand, which indicates the time elapsed in minutes
since the start of the chronograph measurement.
Central chronograph seconds hand (I)
This hand is at the centre of the watch. It measures the seconds elapsed since
the start of the chronograph measurement.
