Turn on the receiver. Press the scan button and hold the tip of the
receiver to the line. For multiple lines, the one with the strongest signal is
what you are looking for. To change the frequency of the audio signal,
press the button (14)

For higher accuracy, use the volume control to adjust the receiver to the
ambient noise. If necessary, use a headphone. (jack (18))
Search for cable interruptions
•
To find a line break, follow the cable with the receiver. Where the audio
signal disappears is the interruption.
Checking the most common failures of network lines
This function allows you to test network cables for interruption, short circuit,
incorrect wiring and faulty twisting. (Note Fig. 3 to Fig. 6)

Turn on the transmitter.
•
Set the function selector switch (6) to the middle position. (network,
telephone)
•
Connect the two ends of the cable to the RJ45 sockets on the transmitter
(1) and receiver (23). Do not disconnect the connection before the test is
finished.
•
Press the button TEST (4) to start the test.
•
The results are shown in the wiring display (2) and, if there is an error, in
the error display (3).
Example:
In the case of a short circuit between the pairs 1-2 and 3-6, the LEDs 1-2
and 3-6 light up in the wiring display and the LED SHORT in the error
display.
Note:
If an error is detected in a pair, this pair will no longer be tested for additional
errors. The test can be continued only after the error has been fixed.
