Connecting Equipment to the TV
Rear Panel Connections
When using a VCR with the television
always
connect the Aerial to the VCR and connect an RF Cable (not
supplied) between the VCR RF-Out and the television RF-In.
You can watch videos by either tuning the television to the VCR
(see page 27) or by connecting the VCR to the rear AV terminals.
Note: When connecting a mono VCR through the RF-In, please switch the TV to mono.
Connecting a DVD player or Set-top Box to the AV Input
The audio and video inputs on the television are RCA type connectors.

outputs from the DVD to the
AV1
DVD Inputs on the television, as shown below.
Connect the “AUDIO OUT”
to the
AV1 IN
AUDIO
terminals on the television.
You can also use the
AV4
IN
for DVD or Set Top Box
connections.
Note:
Some DVD players and set-top boxes only have an RCA “VIDEO OUT” terminal. This can be connected to
any of the VIDEO Inputs on the television. Connect the “AUDIO OUT” to the corresponding AUDIO terminals
on the television.

S-Video equipment
uses a 4Pin Mini Din
(Male) plug for the
video and RCA plugs
for the audio.
Note:
When an S-Video cable
is connected to an
S-Video input terminal,
the RCA video terminal
for that AV position will
be disconnected.
