The feature-packed projector PT-L300U boasts
three 960 x 540-pixel, high-resolution LCD panels,
which delivers beautiful images from any source—
for viewing movies, sports and games—and is
super easy to use. The PT-L300U is compact, styl-
ish and lightweight — loaded with the leading tech-
nology Panasonic has developed for professional
movie projectors.
High-Resolution Wide LCD Panels
The PT-L300U uses three of new high-resolution, 960 x 540-pixel wide
LCD panels, for sharp, beautiful images from DVD, high-definition digital
TV, and other advanced sources. Thanks to brightness of 800 ANSI lumens
and high 800:1 contrast, you can enjoy movies with natural colors and
clear detail.
Smooth Screen Technology— Minimizing the
Screen Door Effect
When an LCD projector shows
images on a large screen,
black lines can appear
between the pixels. This phe-
nomenon—called the screen
door effect—is minimized in
the PT-L300U by Panasonic’s
original smooth screen technol-
ogy. Using a double refraction
crystal device (see below),
smooth screen technology
reduces the gaps between pix-
els to give images the same
smooth texture you enjoy at
the movie theater.

The Double Refraction Crystal Device
As explained above, on a large
screen you can sometimes see grid
lines — or “screen door” — between
pixels. In Panasonic’s original
smooth screen technology, use of a
special double refraction crystal
makes those lines thinner and light-
ens their color. You can see the
results in the PT-L300U’s clear,
sharp, high-resolution images.
