Adding Detergent and Other Chemicals
Liquid detergent
1.
Note
Do NOT use liquid detergent with the
-
Prewash function. It may flow away
during the prewash.
Add liquid detergent before you start
-
washing.
Fit the liquid detergent level plate (included
with the accessories) into the detergent
compartment and use it as a mark to set
the amount of liquid detergent. Make sure
to detach the plate before running the
programme.
Note
Leaving the liquid detergent level
plate in the detergent drawer while the
programme is running may result in
water leakage, or diminished washing
and spinning performance.
For the Wool programme, use mild liquid
detergent.
Powdered detergent
2.
Detergent reaches the drum only when
water flushes through the detergent
drawer. Thus, if you have forgotten to add
detergent, run the Drain programme.
Then, add detergent and start washing
again.
To prevent powdered detergent from
remaining in the drawer, perform the
following:
Dry the inside of the drawer with a cloth.
-
Make sure that the detergent is not
-
lumpy when you add it because this may
cause a blockage over time.
Amount of Detergent
The amount of detergent you should use
depends on the following factors:
How soiled the laundry is
-
Amount of the laundry
-
Water hardness
-
The amount of foam varies according to
the amount and type of detergent, how
soiled the laundry is, and the hardness and
temperature of the water.
Water softening agent
If you live in a hard water area, we
recommend using a water softening agent.
For more details on water hardness,
contact your local water authority.
Use of a water softening agent can help
reduce the amount of detergent required
for each wash and help prevent the
formation of limescale deposits, which may
damage the appliance.
