Select the settings for recording in AVCHD format.
Auto protection settings for writing to DVD-RAM/RW
[Auto Protect ON]:
The protect setting is turned off
temporarily when adding data to a
DVD in AVCHD standard that is set
as protected. (Protect setting is set
again when the DVD is ejected.)
[Auto Protect OFF]
: Recording to the protected DVD is
not possible.

Click [Apply].

When [OK] is clicked, the settings are applied and the window
is closed.
Tips
●
You can also select the settings for copying to media by clicking
[Settings] in the Top menu creation window
(→112)
.

The DVD-RAM/RW that was recorded with Auto Protect enabled is
set as protected, so it may not be possible to format by other DVD
recording software or Windows Explorer.
In this case, formatting the disc with this software will cancel the
Protect setting, and enable other software to format the disc.
([Complete erasure] will take a long time, so it is recommended to use
[Simple erasure].)
●
When Auto Protect is enabled, Protection is set after recording even
for formatted DVDs for which protection is not set.
