Subjects and recording conditions which are difficult to focus
•
Fast-moving subjects, extremely bright subjects or subjects without contrast
•
When recording subjects through windows or near shiny objects
•
When it is dark or when jitter occurs
•
When the camera is too close to the subject or when taking a picture of both distant and near
subjects
The camera automatically sets the shutter speed and the aperture value according to the
brightness of the subject.
You can take pictures with greater freedom by changing various settings in [REC] Mode
menu.

The shutter speed is automatically set between about 15 seconds and 1/4000th of a second in
the following cases.
–
When the [SENSITIVITY] is set to [ISO160].
–
When the aperture value is set to F4.0 (when the 14–140 mm/F4.0–5.8 lens supplied in
DMC-GH2H is attached).
–
When the aperture value is set to F3.5 (when the 14–42 mm/F3.5–5.6 lens supplied in
DMC-GH2K is attached).

Press the shutter button halfway to focus.

Aperture value and shutter speed are displayed. (It
will flash in red if the correct exposure is not achieved,
except when set to flash.)
•
You will not be able to take a picture until the
focus is set, since the [FOCUS PRIORITY] (P130)
is set initially to [ON].
Press the shutter button fully (push it in
further), and take the picture.
•
The access indication lights (P28) red when pictures are being recorded on the card.
