Before Requesting Help

Problem

The unit does not work.

The handset does not operate
or ring.

An alarm tone sounds when
you press

(Talk).

A busy tone sounds when you
press (Talk).

" flashes during a

conversation and the call is
disconnected.

Remedy

•

Check the settings (p. 12–18).

•

Charge the battery fully (p. 14).

•

Clean the charge contracts and charge
again (p. 15).

•

The handset has been cancelled or the
handset has not been registered.
Register the handset number (p. 48, 66).

•

Unplug the AC adaptor and turn the
power OFF to reset. Reconnect the AC
adaptor and turn the power ON. Then try
again.

•

Re-install the handset battery and try
again.

•

The power is OFF. Turn the power ON
(p. 16).

•

You are too far from the base unit. Move
closer and try again.

•

Plug in the AC adaptor.

•

Raise the base unit antenna.

•

If more than one handset is registered,
another handset is in use.

•

The handset is out of range.
Move closer to the base unit and make
the call again.

•

Make sure that the AC adaptor is
connected.
