When an original document is inserted and the start button pressed, pin U4 of IC600 goes to a low level and the transistor Q51
turns on. This applies voltage to the CCD. The CCD is driven by each of the SI, CLKS, CCDSW 0, CCDRS, CCDCP signals output
from IC600, and the original image illuminated by the CCFL undergoes CCD to output an analog image signal (mono: Vout1-2,
color: Vout1-3). The analog image signal is input to the AFE on CCDIN0-2 (mono: CCDIN0-1, color: CCDIN0-2) (pin 23, 25, 27 of
IC53) and converted into 16-bit data by the A/D converter inside IC53. Then this signal undergoes digital processing in order to
obtain a high-quality image.
