CABLE REQUIREMENTS
Another probable cause of a system malfunction is due to improper cable wiring. The
following cabling requirements MUST be met before the installation to prevent problems.
CABLING (TO BE COMPLETED BE THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR)
*The cable supplied is not FT6 Plenum rating. If the site requires this, please call
immediately so FT6 rated cable can be provided.
CAT5 DATA COMMUNICATIONS CABLE
1)
CAT5 data communications cable is provided for all Ethernet communication
runs.
2)
The CAT5 cabling must be home runs from the patch panel to all devices per the
enclosed specifications.
3)
One CAT5 run must be installed from the patch panel to the burger chute order
printer.
4)
One CAT5 run must be installed from the drive-thru order taker terminal to the
drive-thru speaker post for the OCB display.
5)
The CAT5 runs use a standard Ethernet network to an Ethernet Hub Controller.
6)
At each device, leave approximately 6 feet of cable for termination.
7)
Factory 30’ Audio cable must be run from the front runner bump bar to the grill
monitor.

All cabling that is not run in conduit must be kept away from fluorescent
fixtures, parallel AC runs, motors, etc.
