7.7 Tab Cancellation Function
This function is designed to cancel the sudden change that occurs in the workpiece edge
position and to not reflect the change on the judgment value.
If there occurs a sudden change in the workpiece edge position while this function is enabled,
the judgment value right before the change occurred in the measured values is held for a
specified period.
When enabling the tab cancellation function, make sure that the system is set up so that
measured values are always detectable.
If an indeterminate value is input in the middle of processing, the tab cancellation function
may not work properly.
7.7.1 Setting up the Functions
Select the tab cancellation function from the hold settings.
For details on hold settings, refer to "
"7.2.1 Hold Settings ( )" ".
The following parameters must be set up to enable the tab cancellation function.

Tab threshold
Set a threshold that is used to judge whether a measured value is regarded as a tab or not.
It is used to judge whether the tab must be canceled depending on the amount of displacement
for a specified period.
Set the threshold using as a guide the height of approx. 20 to 50% of the height (H) in the tab
popping out direction.
