(7) Using Anti-Vibration Mounts
Rooftop installations should include anti-vibration mounts in cases where noise or vibration may cause problems
for residential and meeting rooms beneath. When using anti-vibration mounts, consider installing anti-vibration
fi ttings on the refrigerant and other pipes.
Also consider the following during installation.
• When only the outdoor unit is installed on anti-vibration mounts, the actual length of refrigerant piping between
the outdoor unit and the water heat exchanger should be at least 3m, and include bends in at least two places
(Fig. 8).
Also, refrigerant piping should be secured with support fi xtures at least 1.5m from the indoor unit.
• To install anti-vibration mounts, follow the instructions provided by its manufacturer.
