UTLISATION OF THE TRIMMER AS AN EDGE
For edging of driveways and paths, transform the trimmer from the trimmer mode to the
edging mode as follows. (Fig. 6)
>> Disconnect the electric cord from the power supply.
>> Hold the shaft of the trimmer with one hand and push the cutting head rotation button,
then twist the head into position. (Fig. 7)
>> Rotate the sahft 180°until it locks in the edging mode. (Fig. 8)
REPLACEMNET OF THE CUTTING LINE CARTRIDGE (Fig.9-12)
Your trimmer is supplied with a fully disposable cutting line cartridge which over comes
troublesome rewinding of the cutting line.
To replace an empty cutting line cartridge, simply unscrew the cover from the cartridge
carrier before inserting new replacement line cartridge.
Push cartridge down and turn in an anti-clockwise direction. Insert new cutting line cartridge
and lock into place by turning clockwise. Ensure that the cartridge clicks into place.
NOTE: Hitting hard and abrasive objects; such as fences, concrete and rocks within and
around long grass may cause the cutting line to disappear and break off within the cartridge.
The cutting line can easily be withdrawn from within the cartridge by following these simple
instructions.
>> Take the full cartridge out of the cartridge cover.
>> Remove the inner white cartridge ring ensuring that the cutting line does not unwind
within the cartridge by placing fingers and thumb on the cutting line.
>>Feed one end of the cutting line into the top slot of the cartridge ring and the other end
into the bottom slot. Replace the inner cartridge ring back on to the cartridge.
>> Feed the two cutting lines through the eyelets of the black cover and press cutting line
cartridge into place within the black cover.
>> Replace cutting line cartridge as shown in Fig.11 & 12.
CUTTING LINE ADVANCE
Short or worn lines cut less efficiently. To improve it’s operation on subsequent occasions,
tap the spool button lightly on the ground while the trimmer is running at full speed. This
will automatically feed extra cutting line. The cutting line blade situated under the guard will
automatically trim the cutting line to the correct length during operation.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
>> Start the trimmer before getting close the grass to be cut.
>> Cut the grass by moving the trimmer from right to left and proceed slowly, keeping
trimmer inclined about 30°. High grass should be cut in layers, always beginning from the
top. The cuts should be short.
>> Do not cut damp or wet grass.
OPERATION
>> Avoid wearing the line out quickly by knocking against hard objects (stones,walls,fences
etc.). Use the edge of the guard in order to keep the trimmer at the right distance.
WARNING:
Do not use “Excessive Force” or “Bash”The Trimmer Bump Head on the ground to advance
the trimming line. If the trimming line will not advance after tapping the bump head on the
ground while the trimmer is running, the cutting line may have tangled or have disappeared
within the catridge or the cutting line may have been used. NOTE: “Excessive Force” or
“Bash”The Trimmer Bump Head on the ground to advance the trimming line will damage the
bump head. This damage will not be covered under the seller’s guarantee.
WARNING:
The cutting head continues to rotate after the motor is switched off for a few seconds.
