The Filter Capsule is leaking where it joins
the Docking Station
Ensure that the o’ring seal on the Docking Station
is in position and intact. Ensure that Filter Capsule
is fully engaged in the Docking Station. To confirm
engagement, try to rotate the Filter Capsule to the
left after connection. It should not rotate if fully
engaged.
The Filter Capsule does not disconnect from
the Docking Station
Ensure the release button on the Docking Station
has been fully lifted. If disconnecting from a QPoint
Docking Station - Tap Assembly with Quick Connect
Inlet, the Docking Station will need to be held to
avoid rotation. Grasp the Filter Capsule and rotate
left to disengage.
Water flow through the Filter Capsule is slow
If the Filter Capsule has been disconnected, air may
have entered and caused air locking which can
significantly reduce the flow of water through the
device. If this is the case, the Filter Capsule should
be replaced with a new one. If the Filter Capsule has
not been disconnected then it is possible that the
reduction in water flow may be as a result of heavy
contamination of the water supply with particles, rust
or micro-organisms. This particulate contamination
may be intermittent and/or related to maintenance
or building work associated with the water system.
The Filter Capsule should be replaced with a new
one when the flow rate becomes unacceptable. If
appropriate contact your local Pall representative or
distributor for suitable pre-filtration advice.
The Filter Capsule has been replaced, but
the water flow is still reduced
Ensure that the Filter Capsule is fully engaged with
the Docking Station. Flow rates through the Filter
Capsule are dependent on water pressure. If your
water pressure is less than 1 bar, the pressure may
not be enough to achieve sufficient flow through the
device. Please contact a plumber or local estates
department to advise if the water pressure can be
increased.
The Filter Capsule has been dropped on
the floor. Can it still be used?
No, you will need to replace the Filter Capsule.
Upstream, non-filtered water samples are
needed for water quality testing
If a water sample is required for testing between
Filter Capsule exchanges, remove the existing
Filter Capsule and dispose of according to local
procedures. To achieve water flow from the water
outlet, disconnect the Docking Station. Collect the
water sample(s) as per local guidelines. Immediately
reconnect the Docking Station and install a new
Filter Capsule.
If I have a problem who should I contact?
