MULTIFIRE 45 SMOKE FIRE - FLUE
The MULTIFIRE 45 must be connected to the flue with
pipes and curves in aluminised steel or stainless steel.
We advise against flexible stainless steel piping
because it offers no guarantee of a long life. It can be
connected in two different ways:
a) Directly between fireplace and flue.
If the pipes cannot be run between the fireplace
and hood it is advisable to facilitate connection and
assembly by making a hole on the hood itself (Fig.
6.3)
b) Using the optional telescopic tube kit

First fix the telescopic pipe at a height so that there
is a space of 2 to 12 cm between the base of the
connection and the upper part of the MULTIFIRE
45.

For fixing use self-tapping screws at the bottom of
the pre-hood ring or hood, at the fireplace opening.

Now fit the pipes and curves, sealing the join with
ceramic fibre and cement mortar (Fig. 6.9). If you
are unable to insert the pipes and fill in from the
bottom, drill the hood of the existing fireplace.

The connection to the flue or the section of the
passage in the pre-hood ring must be perfectly
sealed (Fig. 6.3).
Imperfect sealing may let air through into the flue which
will result in a reduction of the MULTIFIRE 45 draught
and a quick and persistent blackening of the
pyroceram door. Another consequence of imperfect
sealing is heat escaping the room through the flue.
6.3
RAUCHANSCHLUSS MULTIFIRE 45 -
RAUCHFANG
Der MULTIFIRE 45 muss mittels Rohren und
Krümmungen aus aluminiertem Stahl oder Edelstahl
an den Rauchfang angeschlossen werden. Vom
Einsatz eines biegsamen Edelstahlrohrs wird
abgeraten, da dieses keine langfristige Garantie bietet.
Der Anschluss kann auf zwei verschiedene Weisen
erfolgen:
a) Direkter Anschluss zwischen Heizkamin und
Rauchfang
Sollte es nicht möglich sein, die Rohre zwischen
Heizkamin und Abzugshaube zu verlegen, ist der
Anschluss und die Montage durch eine
auszuführende Bohrung an der Abzugshaube
vorzunehmen (Abb. 6.3)
b) Anschluss mit Bausatz Teleskoprohr (Zusatzteil).

Zuerst das Teleskoprohr so befestigen, dass
zwischen unterem Rand des Anschlusses und
oberem Teil des MULTIFIRE 45 noch 2-12 cm
Freiraum bleiben.

Das Rohr wird mit selbstschneidenden Schrauben
im unteren Bereich des Rings der Vorhaube oder
der Abzugshaube, in Übereinstimmung mit der
Achse der Öffnung des Heizkamins befestigt.

Danach die Rohre und Krümmungen ineinander
stecken und mit Fiberfrax und Zementmörtel
versiegeln (Abb. 6.9). Ist es unmöglich, die Rohre
einzustecken und von unten zu verfugen, muss die
Abzugshaube des bestehenden Kamins
durchbohrt werden.

Der Einsatz in den Rauchfang oder der
Durchgangsquerschnitt des Rings der Vor-
Abzugshaube müssen vollkommen versiegelt sein
(Abb. 6.3).
Eine unvollständige Versiegelung kann einen Lufteintritt
in den Rauchfang mit darausfolgendem schwächer
werdenden Rauchabzug des MULTIFIRE 45 und ein
schnelles und hartnäckiges Schwarzwerden des
Türglases verursachen. Eine weitere Auswirkung ist,
dass die Raumwärme über den Rauchfang verloren
geht.
