Note :- exit air
temperature may
very due to remote
location of sensor
when less than
30% air flow
capacity is passing
through the unit.
high.
c) Strainer/Dryer clogged.
d) Refrigerant shortage.
e) Dirty condenser.
f) Air in system
g) Compressor inefficient
h) Evaporator control(s) stuck.
i) Defective insulation
j) Air overload
k) Unit too small
l) High ambient
m) Entering air temperature too
high.
c) Replace
d) Repair leak and recharge.
e) Blow out with compressed air.
f) Check reason, recharge.
g) Repair or above.
h) Repair as required, adjust.
i) Repair.
j) Reduce load,
k) Add unit or replace with larger unit.
l) Reduce or change location.
m) Lower entering air temperature.
16.
Unit runs
but low air
pressure at the air
outlet port.
a) System pressure low.Pre
cooler and/or evaporator
clogged.
b) Incorrect piping.
c) Air overload.
d) Unit too small.
e) Excess water in unit.
a) Increase pressure.
b) Reverse flush using mild detergent.
c) Increase line size and/or correct piping as
required.
d) Reduce overload.
e) Add another unit or replace with larger unit.
17.
Unit runs,
but air flow erratic
or zero.
a) Freeze up
b) Pre cooler and/or evaporator
clogged.
c) Restriction in piping upstream
from unit.
a) Check suction temperature at evaporator
outlet, or turn off unit and allow it to thaw to
determine if this is problem. Adjust controls at
no-load if freeze-up is occurring. Turn adjusting
screw of pressure regulating valve clockwise (in)
one or more turns, to eliminate the freeze-up.
B) Refer to above.
C) Correct as required.
18.
Evaporator
freeze-up.
a)
Hot gas by-pass valve
out of adjustment.
a)
Adjust suction pressure. Refer to
controls and refrigerant low side guide setting.
See point no.14.
