Pairing the Maxitrol Remote Handset and Receiver
1. Insert batteries four double “AA” batteries into the receiver module (Figure 116).
2. Install 3 AAA batteries into the Maxitrol remote handset (Figure 117).
3. The receiver must learn the handset code: Remove the decorative front followed by the backing plate
(Figure 119 and Figure 120). Locate the module caddy on the left-hand side of the fireplace. The reset
button is located here (Figure 118).
4. Press and hold the receiver’s reset button (Figure 118) until you hear two (2) beeps. After the second,
longer beep, release the reset button. Within the subsequent 20 seconds press the “ARROW DOWN”
button on the handset until you hear two (2) short beeps confirming the code is set. The remote handset
is now ready to use.
NOTE: This is a one time setting only, and it is not required when changing the batteries in the handset or
receiver.
