Chemical Hazard
Warnings
Before handling any chemicals, refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
provided by the manufacturer, and observe all relevant precautions.
The system is used to conduct scientific experiments that require the

These items are transferred from disposable tips to SMRT
®
Cells
which are then transferred to an internal waste bin in an automated
fashion. Once the system’s internal waste bin is full, it must be emptied
by the user. The system does not generate any additional waste.
About Safety Data
Sheets
Chemical manufacturers supply current Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with
shipments of hazardous chemicals to new customers. They also pro-
vide an SDS with the first shipment of a hazardous chemical to a cus-
tomer after an SDS has been updated. Safety Data Sheets provide the
safety information you need to store, handle, transport, and dispose of
the chemicals safely.
Each time you receive a new SDS packaged with a hazardous chemi-
cal, be sure to replace the appropriate SDS (supplied by Pacific Biosci-
ences) in your files.

Any chemical supplied by Pacific Biosciences will have an SDS avail-
able on our website: www.pacificbiosciences.com.
For the SDS of chemicals not distributed by Pacific Biosciences, con-
tact the chemical manufacturer.
