•
Do not begin to mow until the PTO reaches 540 rpm. It is forbidden to overload the
PTO shaft and to engage the coupling too suddenly.
•
Make sure to have proper visibility when turning, reversing or otherwise manoeuvring
with the mower. Get help from an experienced helper, if necessary.
•
It is forbidden to mow while driving in reverse.
Lift the mower when driving in
reverse.
•
When connecting the hydraulic system, make sure that the system is not pressurised.
•
It is forbidden to stand between the tractor and the mower while the tractor’s engine is
running.
•
It is not permitted to mow on slopes steeper than 10%.
•
Be very cautious when driving on slopes.
•
Switch off the PTO when driving in a curve and when turning.
•
It is forbidden to use the mower near public areas, such as parks, schools, etc., or on
stony areas, to avoid the hazard of ejecting stones and other objects.
•
Do not let the PTO shaft exceed 540 rpm and adapt the mowing speed to each task.
•
It is forbidden to mow with a damaged or incomplete telescopic shaft. And it strictly
forbidden to mow without shields covering the moving parts.
•
The telescopic shaft has markings to indicate which end should be connected to the
tractor; always verify that the shaft’s rotational direction is correct.
•
Never leave the tractor unattended with the engine running. Before leaving the driver’s
seat, lower the mower to the ground, switch off the engine, remove the ignition key
and engage the handbrake.
•
Never wear loose-fitting clothing that can get caught in the mower.
•
The mower must be stored in a location that is inaccessible to animals and
unauthorised persons to minimise the risk of injury/damage. Store the mower on a
covered level, hard surface.
•
In the event of functional faults, disengage the PTO immediately.
•
Wear ear protection to minimise the risk of being exposed to excessive noise. It is also
advisable to shut the doors and windows of the driver’s cab.
Failing to comply with the above guidelines can endanger both the driver
and other persons and can also damage the rotary mower. The driver is
responsible for any damage caused by failing to comply with the
guidelines.
