•
Set the mower’s mowing height while it is coupled to the tractor. It is possible adjust a
few components while the machine is operating, but this must be done from the
driver’s cab. The driver must not leave the driver’s cab.
•
All types of preparation, assembly, mounting or settings may only be done after the
mower has been switched off, the engine has been switched off, the mower is standing
still and all moving parts have stopped moving.
•
After the first operating hour, inspect all connection elements, including bolts.
•
The rotary mower must be stored on a flat, level stone-paved surface out of reach of
animals and unauthorised persons. Use the stabiliser to stabilise the mower.
•
Be very cautious when making adaptations or dismantling the mower, and be
particularly cautious near structural elements for mounting on the tractor.
•
Before putting the rotary mower into operation, inspect both the mower and the
tractor to which it is being attached. Both pieces of equipment must be in sound and
proper working order. Replace any damaged or worn parts immediately.
•
All safety shields must be mounted on the rotary mower to prevent access to moving
parts. The shields must be intact and fully functional.
•
Mowing without shields or with raised shields is prohibited.
•
Lifting the mower while it is operating and still rotating is forbidden.
•
It is not permitted to use the handle for the hydraulic lift from the outside of the
tractor.
•
It is advisable to become thoroughly familiar with the rotary mower before putting it
into operation the first time; find out how it works, how to adjust and maintain it and
learn which safety precautions should be taken. Read the manual.
•
The mower’s weight can affect the tractor’s manoeuvrability. Be very cautious.
•
Connecting additional modes of transport to the rotary mower is not permitted.
•
Always inspect and adjust the mower without load.
•
Use only original bolts and locking pins to secure the three-point linkage. Using other
types of these items is forbidden.
•
Due to natural wear and tear, the mower’s cutting components must be inspected for
wear and intactness (see the section “Operation and Maintenance”).
•
After transport, inspect the equipment for damage and functionality.
•
It is forbidden to stand beneath the raised mower, as it can crush you.
•
To adjust the mower, never insert fingers or other body parts between the mower’s
structural components.
•
It is forbidden to leave the driver’s cab while the mower is operating until all rotating
components have stopped moving.
•
The driver must make sure that no one is near the mower when it is operating – keep a
distance of 50 metres at all times.
•
Before starting the mower, lower it to the mowing position.
