Fitting the post supports
There are three holes in the assembly plate, one hole for the threaded spike and two
holes for the straight ground spike. See Fig 3 to see the different spikes that must be
fitted.
Below shows how the different spikes should be positioned in the post supports (Fig
3).
Threaded spike (no. 24). Straight ground spike qty. 2 (no. 23).
Marking of holes
1.
Position the post support at the starting point (one corner), take the ground spike
and make a mark with this. Remove the post support and check that the mark is
clear.
2.
Use the handle (No. 25) to screw the threaded spike into the ground. Allow a suitable
part of the spike to remain above the ground. Now position the post support above
the threaded spike, loosely fit the washer and nut.
3.
When the frame is completely assembled and straightened, tighten the nuts and
knock the remaining ground spikes in.
Note: NB: The threaded spike and the straight spike
cannot be used:
If the ground is frozen.
If the ground is rocky.
If the ground is made from concrete.
