Troubleshooting
Problem Possible solutions
The indicator light is flashing The machine is too hot: take a 20-second
break. If you continue to use the machine,
its overheating fuse will cut out. This will
stop the machine completely and the
indicator light will light up red. Stop using
the machine for 20 minutes to cool it down.
If the vacuum pump works for more than
120 seconds, the machine will stop
automatically, and the red light will flash
(see next section).
The vacuum pump is running but cannot
create a vacuum If bags are used, make sure that all seals are
tight. Remember that there must be a 7-cm
gap between the contents and the edge of
the bag and that the stamped side must face
down.
Check whether the packing ring is
misshaped or if the top ring is dirty.
Check the bag for folds and make sure to
firmly grip the sides of the bag to keep it flat.
If the machine has been stored with the side
locks closed, the sealing ring can lose its
shape, causing leaks and reducing
effectiveness. Let the machine stand open
for 30 minutes so that the sealing ring can
regain its flexibility.
The sealing ring is loose or damaged If this is the bottom seal, remove it, clean it
and reinsert it.
If it is the top ring, wipe it off and try again. If
the problems continue, contact the supplier.
