Safety instructions
Read the instructions carefully prior to operation.
The pump is only suitable for pumping freshwater.
Ordinary 92 octane lead-free petrol is recommended for this model.
Please note that petrol is highly flammable, so the following precautions must be
observed:
•
Petrol is extremely flammable and its fumes are explosive. Always fill the pump with
petrol outdoors in a well-ventilated area, with the engine switched off and the pump
placed on a flat and level surface.
• Never overfill.
• Smoking is prohibited near petrol and make sure that no open flames or sparks are
nearby.
•
The engine becomes hot during use. Therefore, wait to refill until the engine has
cooled off
.
•
Wipe up any spilled fuel before starting.
•
Make sure that it has been filled with the correct amount of engine oil. The dipstick is
attached to the oil-filler plug.
•
Never operate the pump in an enclosed space as the petrol engine emits carbon
monoxide
during use
.
•
Out of consideration for the engine’s lubrication, it must be positioned level during
use.
• Drain off the water from the pump whenever there is a risk of freezing temperatures.
•
Inspect the pump before each use.
•
Not suitable for pumping drinking water.
