Maintenance 

Once you have finished using the product, wipe it down with a damp cloth and then rinse with a light spray from a 
hose. Always check that the propeller is clear of line or weed, regularly check all nuts, bolts and screws and lubricate 
all moving parts with an aerosol lubricant. Clean terminal connections regularly and check for frayed wires or loose 
connections. 

Storage 

When storing the motor; lubricate all moving parts and screws and store in a well-ventilated, dry area. Do not leave 
the motor outside in winter for long periods, as this will damage the permanent magnet in the unit. 

 

 

 

Warning: 

Make sure that the motor has been disconnected from any batteries before replacing the propeller. Do not 
strike the propeller bin with any object in an attempt to remove it. Damage caused this way would not be 
covered by warranty. 

Troubleshooting 

Possible Cause/Solution 

Speed loss 

Check for fishing line or weeds on the propeller. 

Check battery status. 

Check terminals on the battery. 

Motor noise/Shake 

Check for fishing line or weeds on the propeller. 

Check to see if the propeller is secure and not 

damaged. 

Check the shaft to see if it is not bent. Detach the 
propeller and run the motor to see if this reduces 

shaft shaking. If the shaft is damaged, contact the 

retailer. 

Loss of speed setting 

Check all the wiring connections 

The switch within the motor may be burnt out, if so 

contact the retailer. 

Tight steering 

Loosen the counterforce screw, apply lubricant and 

then readjust.
