Channel Bar Graph
– displays optical power levels for selected DWDM channels:
below the minimum power threshold
within acceptable tolerances
above the maximum power threshold
too high to be measured accurately
Vertical Zoom Level
– 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x; UP arrow to zoom in, DOWN arrow to zoom out
Optical Power Level Scale (y-axis)
– shows optical power level range (numbers are shown without negative sign)
Channel Numbers (x-axis)
– shows the beginning and ending channel number for the range of selected DWDM channels
Channel Spacing
– shows whether 50 GHz or 100 GHz spacing is selected
Channel Information
– shows the information for the channels where the red and green cursors are located
Channel Numbering
– displays whether the channel numbers are shown based on absolute ITU grid numbers (ABS) or on
relative scan channel numbers (REL).
Insertion Loss –
corrective insertion loss factor for passive devices such as the tap port of a splitter
Function Options Menu
– displays the on-screen menu options.
