Avoid the danger of

Do not place the device on
inflammable surfaces.

Do not use the device in rooms
in which there is a danger of fire,
e.g. rooms in which flammable or
explosive vapours or dusts might
be present (e.g. in stables, barns or
paint shops).

device generates heat, its use in
the surroundings of all highly
inflammable or explosive liquids or
gases is prohibited.
Initial operation
CAUTION!
Never hang the device up by the
mains lead!

Hang up the device by means of the
attachment ring

at the greatest possible
distance from a source of light. Here an
installation height of approx. 1.80m has been
shown to be ideal.
¾
Insert the mains plug into the socket. The
device is ready to use. The UV light attracts
the insects and contact with the electric high-
voltage grille

kills or dehydrates them.
Dead insects are collected in the collection
tray

Cleaning and care
CAUTION! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
First remove the mains plug from the socket.

Allow the device to cool down completely.
¾
If the device is subject to heavy use it must be
cleaned every three weeks.

For reasons of electrical safety the device must
never be cleaned with water or other liquids
or immersed in water.

Only a dry, lint-free cloth should be used for
cleaning.

Do not use any solvents, petrol or similar items.
This would damage the device.

Remove the collection tray

from under the
device by turning it to the left as far as it will go.
The collection tray

can now be emptied.

If insects become stuck in the grille, remove
them carefully with a soft cleaning brush

without bending wires.
IMPORTANT!
If two wires touch each other,
this will destroy the item.
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of
recyclable materials, which you may
dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn-out
product.
To help protect the environment, please
dispose of the product properly when it
has reached the end of its useful life
and not in the household waste. Information on
collection points and their opening hours can be
obtained from your local authority.
Defective or exhausted rechargeable batteries
must be recycled in accordance with Directive
2006 / 66 / EC. Return the battery and / or
the device through the appropriate collection
facilities.
