8.2 Additional options
CAUTION
Improper installation of options/accessories

All options/accessory components must be installed by the qualified personnel unless they were pre-installed
by the manufacturer. A few notes on installation are provided here for the benefit of the qualified personnel.

Always mount options/accessory components so that the stability of the product is maintained.
8.2.1 Channel forearm supports with vertical push handles
8.2.1.1 Installing the channel forearm supports with vertical push handles
CAUTION
Incorrect adjustment of the distance between the channel forearm support and vertical push handle

Adjust the distance between the channel forearm support and vertical push handle so that the channel fore
arm support evenly supports the forearm and the user can grip the handle in a relaxed posture.
The channel forearm supports with vertical push handles were developed as a solution for users who are unable to
support themselves safely with their extended arms. Here the channel forearm supports offer additional support.
The channel forearm supports with vertical push handles are available in 2 versions depending on the size of the
product:
a) Version for sizes 1/2, 1 and 2 (
see fig. 9
Perform the following steps on both sides in succession:
1) Loosen the screw on the front frame (see fig. 10, item 1) and remove it together with the concave washer (see
fig. 10, item 2).
2) Remove the cover plug from the tube of the front frame and replace with the adapter (see fig. 10, item 3).
INFORMATION: Note the installation direction: The opening angle of the adapter must point in the dir
ection of travel so that the adapter is perpendicular to the floor (see fig. 10).
3) Reinstall the screw with concave washer on the front frame and tighten it.
4) Set the clamp together with the channel forearm support and vertical push handle onto the adapter and screw
it in place (see fig. 12).
5) Adjust the channel forearm support and push handle (see Page 34).
6) Adjust the frame height if needed (see Page 32).
