4 Handling
4.1 Installation preparation
The two-socket procedure with outer and inner sockets is recommended
for fittings using the12K12� During the two-socket procedure, the lami-
nation ring is laminated into the outer socket� This allows for easy as-
sembly / disassembly of the elbow component�
4.2 Assembly
For a unilateral fitting, the end of the thumb and the pivot point of the
elbow joint are relevant to determine the length of the components� In
case of bilateral fittings, priority is given to the prosthesis‘ functionality�
When adapting the length, make sure that the prosthesis will offer the
patient a high degree of freedom of movement�
Changes in length can be realized by shortening the elbow joint on the
forearm side (see table chapter 3) and by changing the upper arm socket�
The lamination ring must be separated from the component before lami-
nation� The screw is removed from the elbow joint (fig� 4 arrow) and the
lamination ring with the cover and screw is pulled off� The cover and
screw are not required for lamination and must be removed from the
lamination ring�
Then assemble the lamination ring using the two lamination dummies
