Cubic Foam/Contur Gel

2 Handling

2.1 Positioning

INFORMATION

Pressure on the cushions can only be optimally distributed, if the footrest of the wheelchair has

been adjusted in such a way that the thigh of the user is in full contact with the cushion surface�

Always make sure that the cushion is correctly positioned in the wheelchair and that the cover is

correctly re-mounted after it has been removed�

Place the cushion into the wheelchair with the zipper oriented towards the side or the rear�

The loop strip sewn to the cushion serves to fix it in the wheelchair� Place the cushion into the

wheelchair with the loop strip facing the upholstery�
2.2 Assembly

For cleaning it may be necessary to remove the foam inserts from the cover� To do so, open the zip-

per of the cover and remove the foam parts�

For reassembly, please proceed in reverse order paying attention to the correct order:

• Cubic Foam: The cube structure faces up�

• Contour Gel: The Technogel® cover faces up, the small lateral face is at the rear, and the high

lateral face at the front (seat ramp)�

2.3 Cleaning and care

NOTICE

Risk of damage due to improper cleaning. Do not use any bleaching agents� Do not tumble-

dry the foam cushions�

INFORMATION

Should it be necessary to disinfect the cushion (cover/foam parts), add a standard hygiene de-

tergent during washing (e�g� Sagrotan laundry hygiene detergent)�
In case of heavy incontinence, an additional incontinence cover should be used� Please observe

the care and cleaning instructions for each incontinence cover used�

Cover

1� For separate washing, open the zipper on the cover and remove it�

2� Close the zipper on the cover before washing�

3� The cover can be washed at 65°C using a mild, environmentally friendly detergent�

Recommendation: Wash the cover on the gentle cycle at 40 ºC in order to prevent excessive

wear�

4� Allow to air dry� When using an automatic clothes drier, select the gentle cycle at low tempera-

ture�

Replace the cover in case of advanced wear and tear�
Foam cushion

Hand-wash the foam cushion at 40 °C / 104 °F using a mild, environment-friendly detergent�

Allow to air dry�
