1. Open all closures on the brace (Fig. 1). Place it under the insole of
the shoe. (If the insoles can’t be taken out, see instruction 5). The
back of the brace shall be placed against the heel counter of the
shoe.
2. Close the upper and lower closures (Fig. 2). Tighten as hard as possible
to still maintain a comfortable feeling.
3. Pull the diagonal strap through the D-ring and fasten it with the velcro
(Fig. 3). The strap can be pulled through the D-ring either from the inside
or outside the brace.
a. From the outside of the foot to the inside of brace, when the injury
is on the outside of the foot (most common injury).
b. From the foot inside to the outside of brace, when the injury is on
the inside foot.
4. Finally close the wide strap by pulling it around the ankle and tighten it
so the brace feels stable. (Be careful not to tighten too hard thus stop-
ping the blood flow).
5. If you have a shoe where you can not remove the insole, so use the ad-
hesive EVA pad, which is included in the package (Fig. 5). Remove the
protective film and place the pad on the plastic part that is in contact
with the foot (Fig. 6).
2.2 Instruction for use and care
NOTICE
Damage caused by wear and tear.
Before each use, the orthosis must
be checked for functional reliability and for possible wear or damage. If
a closure or any other part of the orthosis shows any signs of wear, the
orthosis should no longer be used.
Improper changes to the product are not permitted.
INFORMATION
Neoprene products, time of use should not exceed 3-4 hours.
Products in other materials, time of use should not exceed 8 hours, unless
otherwise is recommended by prescriber.
